The 1.5 Tesla MRI scanner can scan patients with surgically implanted hardware with less artifact than the 3 Tesla scanner.

The High Field MRI scanner is used to view all parts of the body, especially the internal organs, brain, spine, and joints. The scan takes about 20 minutes, depending on the size of the area being viewed.
